The past couple of months have been hugely exciting if you are a fan of the relatively new Wowpot progressive jackpot. Since February, players have only had one option, the Wheel of Wishes slot, to try and land the huge Wowpot progressive jackpot prize (which is still yet to be won and which now stands $8 million).
However, since the start of September, we have seen two brand new slots added to the full network alongside WheelofWishes.net, Book of Atem Wowpot and Sisters of Oz Wowpot, along with a third game, African Legends, that gives you a shot at the Wowpot Major progressive jackpot.
That second-tier jackpot prize is still very much worth winning as it is seeded at a minimum of 50,000 and often the prize can grow to several hundred thousand in value. There have already been numerous jackpot triggers of wins of over 100,000 for this jackpot since the Wheel of Wishes game was first released back in February 2020.
So Wowpot jackpot chasers now have a selection of games to play when they want to try and land the Wowpot progressive jackpot prize, but the question that they have to ask themselves is which one of the four potential slots should they play, and perhaps more importantly, why should they play that slot over the others?
So in this article, we are going to take a closer look at each of the games, compare them against each other and then look at what the pros and cons of each game is before deciding which one offers you the best gaming experience to play for the Wowpot jackpot prizes.
Before we run down some of the key differences, let's remind ourselves of the main details of each of the four different Wowpot progressive jackpot games.

Released in February 2020 and the first game to feature the newly revamped Wowpot progressive jackpot, as well as the three smaller jackpot prizes, Mini, Minor and Major. The slot was the first to offer a shot at Microgaming's new 2 Million seeded progressive jackpot prize.
The game is a 5x3 reel slot in its standard game format. While having Wilds on the reels, the game does not feature a Free Spins bonus round but instead if you land two or more of the Jackpot Wheel Scatter symbols, you will earn yourself a Power Spin.
During a Power Spin, the middle three reels will spin as one large reel and contains 3x3 large versions of the higher value symbols in the game, plus the Wild and Scatter symbol. Outside of these reels, the first and fifth reel will resolve into three symbols all of the same type. Match them with the Jumbo Symbol in the middle and you land a big money win.
If you land the Jackpot Bonus Scatter on a power spin, then you launch the Jackpot Bonus game and you will spin the wheel in order to win one of the four progressive jackpot prizes.
One crucial feature of the Wheel of Wishes slot is that you can elect to play Power Spin Mode only by enabling Power Mode during the base game. When you do this, all spins become Power Spins, but you must pay 10x the standard bet size for each spin. So if you were playing the base game for the minimum bet of 0.10 per spin, you would have a Power Spin price of 1.00 per spin.
However, the upshot of this is that every Power Spin offers you a chance of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Game, whereas the vast majority of Base Game spins do not (unless you trigger a Power Spin).
Released at the start of September 2020, the Book of Atem Wowpot slot was based on a slot released formerly of the same name, that was your standard 5x3 reel, 10 pay line slot. This new version has been tweaked slightly to allow the four Wowpot progressive jackpot prizes to be won using a special mechanism that has been added to the game.
The standard game on the Book of Atem Wowpot slot offers bets from 0.10 per spin up to 25.00 per spin, plus a jackpot for 5,000x your bet. There's a Free Spins bonus round, which is where the biggest standard jackpot prize can be won, plus perhaps the most important symbol in the game, the Book of Atem Wild Scatter.
This symbol not only serves as a Wild Symbol in the game, but it also is used as a Scatter symbol to trigger the Free Spins bonus (if you land three or more). In addition, each time you land a Wild Scatter, one gem is added to the Treasure Chest and each gem you add gives you a chance of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Game. So the more gems you collect in a session, the more chances you have of hitting a spin of that bonus wheel.
When triggered the Jackpot Bonus Wheel offers you a chance of winning any of the four Wowpot progressive jackpot prizes.
Just a week or so after the release of the Book of Atem Wowpot slot, along came the Sisters of Oz Wowpot game from Triple Edge Studios. This eagerly anticipated game, first previewed back at ICE 2020, offers something a little different to the two previous slots as it is a 5x4 reel game with 20 pay lines in play and a chance to win up to 720x your bet in the standard game. Spins start at 0.20 per spin and can be increased up to 25.00 per spin.
It has to be said that the Sisters of Oz slot is the most stunning looking of all three games and also has the best sound. It does not have a standard Scatter symbol however as it is the Wild symbol that is the most important one here, with each one landing not only acting as a substitute for the standard symbols, but also if you can land three or more you trigger the Free Spins bonus.
Depending on the number of Wilds landed, you can trigger 5, 7 or 10 Free Spins with a 2x multiplier and Jumbo Blocks in play on every spin. Land two more Scatters and you win three more Free Spins added to your total.
Another key feature here is that you can trigger a shot at the progressive jackpot game in either the base game, or during Free Spins and if you do, then you'll have a chance to spin a wheel to win one of the four progressive jackpot prizes.
To trigger the Progressive Jackpot, you need to collect the Progressive Jackpot Symbols on the reels, the more of these you collect and add to your treasure chest, the more chances you have of triggering a shot at the progressive jackpot wheel game.
The African Legends is a 5x3 reel, 243-ways to win game by Slingshot Studios that offers play from 0.25 per spin up to 25.00 per spin. There is a standard game jackpot of 1,200x your bet available, plus a Free Spins bonus game and an exciting Wild Blast bonus which can add up to five Wilds to the reels in random positions.
However, the one key difference to the other slots in the Wowpot network is that the African Legends slot only offers you a chance to win one of the four progressive jackpot prizes on that network, the Major jackpot. As such, there is no bonus wheel to spin on this slot and the progressive is awarded as part of one of the main features of the slot.
That feature is the Rolling Reels and Multiplier Trail feature which is triggered on any winning spin. You add a standard Multiplier Trail bonus of 2x, 3x or 4x on your first, second and third Rolling Reels trigger, but after that you then more into the four Free Spins bonuses, each coming with its own multiplier. These range from 4 triggers landing you 12 Free Spins with a 5x multiplier to 7 triggers landing you 20 Free Spins with a 10x multiplier.
However, if you can land eight consecutive Rolling Reels wins, then you will win the Wowpot Major jackpot prize. Just for clarity, this is the same Wowpot Major jackpot that is available on the other three Wowpot slot games.
So now the question is, which of these games is the best one to play? The best way to answer that question is to ask yourself what matters to you most when playing for a progressive jackpot prize. Do you want a game where you can buy a feature, or one where the standard game offers a decent value win, or do you want a slot that offers something a little different?
However, the first question you must ask yourself is which of the Wowpot jackpot prizes do you want to win?
If you are happy to play for the Major jackpot prize only, then the African Legends slot is a good choice and to be fair, it is an impressive standalone slot. However, if you want to have a chance at that much larger Wowpot progressive jackpot prize, then clearly this is not the game for you, and you are much better off with one of the other three options available at present.
In terms of the three games that do offer a chance at the largest Wowpot progressive prize, I think the standout option here is the Sisters of Oz slot in terms of pure game-play and the slot gaming experience alone. This is a very cleverly designed slot, with a lot of different features and a fantastic Free Spins game. The game-play is very enjoyable too and the graphics superb and are, I believe, a notch above the other games available in the Wowpot series.
However, if there is one drawback to the Sisters of Oz Wowpot slot, it is that it costs double the amount to play per spin than the cheapest options available on the Book of Atem Wowpot or Wheel of Wishes Wowpot slots and in truth if you want to get the most for your money in terms of spins, then these two options may be better suited to you.
Book of Atem Wowpot is an interesting one as if you liked the original game then the chance to play it again, this time with a shot at the Wowpot progressive jackpot prize attached, will make it all the more appealing. The slot itself is a high variance option though, so you won't be winning small amounts regularly, but if you want to play for a cheap price per spin and like these kinds of higher variance game, then Book of Atem is a great choice.
The Wheel of Wishes slot is I think a good all-rounder in that it offers spins from just 0.10 per spin the same as the Book of Atem slot, but you do have the option to switch on Power Mode and play for 1.00 per spin, but know every spin at that amount could be a jackpot bonus game triggering one. As such, if you are someone that likes to buy features in games when they are available (and there are not too many where this option is available for players), then the Wheel of Wishes slot is a good choice.
So as you can see, which of the Wowpot Progressive Jackpot slots is best suited to you depends pretty much on how you would like to play for the jackpot prizes on offer and how much you want to spend per spin. In terms of sheer quality alone, and discounting all other factors, I think the Sisters of Oz game is the most appealing and enjoyable of all the Wowpot progressives, but that doesn't necessarily make it the right choice for you.
The good thing now though, is that you do have four different options to choose from and in time, I think that number of options will be expanded still further.
