Where can I play the Plentiful Treasure slot?

If you are looking for somewhere to try out the new Plentiful Treasure slot from Realtime Gaming, then why not head over to Sloto'Cash Casino, which features a wide selection of games from the company, as well as a vast array of other slots and casino games to try.

As a new customer you can join up using the latest promotional code of 400Casino, which will see you able to access a potential $4,000 bonus when you make your first deposit at the casino. This is a huge offer and not widely available, so remember to use the code when you sign up to claim this great value offer.

I can honestly say that the presentation on the Plentiful Treasure slot is one of the poorest I can remember for a while. Graphically the slot is OK, perhaps a little too generic of many other Oriental themed slots with its red and gold livery and abundance of oriental symbols on the reel. However the graphics themselves are fine and nothing to worry about. It is the very simplistic sound, which sounds like it has been ported over from a 1980s slot, that is the real disappointment with just a series of beeps, whirs and clicks accompanying you as you spin. The music is so poor, it quickly becomes irritating and it isn't long until you are reaching to click the mute button.

What's on the reels?

There are a very high number of symbols on the reels in the Plentiful Treasure slot. Including the Scatter symbol, plus the two Wilds, there are a further six lower value symbols, which are the playing card lows and these offer smaller value pay outs of up to 15 coins.

In addition to these symbols are a selection of medium and higher value symbols, nine in total and these offer a range of wins from smaller amounts (if you wager a small amount per spin) to larger amounts if you wager more per spin and have the golden symbols for each symbol in play on the reels.

Wild features

There are two Wild features on the slot. The first is the Pearl Wild which only appears on the third reel and which when it lands, will count for any symbol apart from the Scatter or the other Wild symbol. When used as part of a win, the Pearl Wild will apply a multiplier to that win of between 1x and 5x the standard amount, depending on the size of the bet you are making in the game.

The standard Wild appears on the middle three reels and this can count for any of the symbols in the game apart from the other Wild symbol and the Scatter. It does not offer its own pay out.

Free Spins features

Land three or more of the Scatter symbols anywhere across the reels to trigger 8 Free Spins. When you land Free Spins, you will see that the six lower value symbols on the reels, the playing card lows from 9 through to the Ace, will all disappear and just the higher value symbols will remain.

You then play your spins in the same way with the higher value symbols on the reels which offers you a better chance of winning larger amounts. Furthermore, you can also re-trigger Free Spins by landing three or more Scatters during the bonus, although this does only tend to happen relatively rarely in the game.

Scatters also pay a prize of between 5 coins and 50 coins depending on whether you land three, four or five across the reels on a spin.

Other bonus features

The four progressive jackpots are the main additional bonus on the Plentiful Treasure slot and there are four, ranging in size from the Mini jackpot through the Minor, Major and up to the Grand jackpot which is a prize of several thousand. The size of your bet determines which of the jackpots are available, the more you bet, then the more jackpots you could win.

Jackpots are won by landing up to five Golden Symbols on the reels on a spin. Land two you land the Mini, Land three you could win the Mini or Minor, land four and you could win the Mini, Minor or Major and land all five to stand a chance of winning the Grand jackpot too. The jackpot you win is determined by the Gold Coin game you play after triggering the prize.

In the Gold Coin game, you pick from 12 coins and the three you reveal of the same type first determine which jackpot you win.

Best feature of the Plentiful Treasure slot

If you are able to trigger it then the Free Spins bonus round is the best feature on the Plentiful Treasure slot as with the lower value playing card symbols removed from the reels it is much easier to hit some higher value wins and if you can re-trigger the bonus, then you can land a sizeable amount in the feature (although hitting a re-trigger doesn't occur that often in my experience).

What does the Plentiful Treasure slot lack?

The main problem of the Plentiful Treasure slot is that it is just not rewarding enough. I have played many low, medium or high variance slots and the best ones always strike that balance between risk and reward in the right way. Plentiful Treasure for me falls way short here, there's way too much risk and the rewards are small in number and very low in value which means that it is a game that is going to struggle to hold long term appeal in my view.

Plentiful Treasure unfortunately doesn't live up to its name for me, which is a shame as all the elements for a decent Oriental-themed slot are present. The problem is with how the game has been put together. The majority of wins in the base game are so small, it is simply losing money less slowly and the bigger value wins are not big enough to counter these losses. The Free Spins game is good fun but short, and the Progressive Jackpot games are a little confusing and seem unduly difficult to hit. This could have been a really good slot but unfortunately the execution of it left a little to be desired.

  • Presentation: 8 / 20 - I think it is fair to say that the presentation on the Plentiful Treasure slot is a little lacking. There's no real problems with the graphics, gold and red are very common colors for Oriental-themed slots and the symbols are also a little generic but otherwise fine. However, the slot sound is very poor and it makes you feel like you are playing a slot game from the 1980s. We've come to expect a lot more from slot games these days so this isn't great.
  • Game-play: 12 / 20 - The game play on the Plentiful Treasure slot is fine without being overly exciting. The game has a number of nice features, including the four progressive jackpots, but the sizes are not an amount that will make you feel it is a must play game. As a medium slot it offers a wide range of pays, but some are so small it beggars belief. The game play is OK and you do win a lot for a medium variance slot, but so many wins are low value that you end up losing money quickly.
  • Bonus Features: 13 / 20 - There are a number of bonus features on the Plentiful Treasure slot and of course the four progressive jackpot prizes are always a popular choice for punters to play for. The Free Spins bonus is also interesting, but you do only get eight spins in this bonus which isn't a huge amount, although it can be re-triggered in the base game. I'd have liked to have seen a random base game feature too to liven the base game up and offer some better value wins but sadly the game lacked this.
  • Entertainment Factor: 10 / 20 - I have to be honest and say that despite the bonus features and the 243 Ways to Win options, and the progressive jackpots, the Plentiful Treasure slot just didn't do it for me. My enjoyment was reduced by the many low value wins (some less than a tenth of your bet if you play the maximum bet) and these just eat away at your bankroll and it isn't long before you feel that you are not getting good value for money on the slot.
  • Play Value: 6 / 20 - I'm sorry and although I tended to play this slot for higher value bets, I just felt that this slot was designed to chew through bankrolls. The size of the majority of wins in the base game is so small that it is more of a punishment than a win when you land one on the reels. Sure, you do get the occasional bigger win, but these in no way compensate for what you have spent so far. The progressive jackpot game is also unnecessarily complex and it seems unlikely you'll ever get close to winning one.
  • Overall - 49 / 100 - I can normally find something to like in any slot game, but I have to admit that Plentiful Treasure left me feeling a little cold. The slot seems unduly punitive in terms of the size of the majority of base game wins and the bonus features just are not rewarding enough often enough to make that a lesser issue. This is one I'd give a miss to, but if you like Oriental slots and like medium variance gaming, then you may want to have a few spins to make up your own mind.

Good Luck!
