Games Related to Stash of the Titans
The Stash of the Titans mobile slot may have taken its name as a pun on the famous Clash of the Titans film of the 1980s, starring Harry Hamlin as Perseus, and like the film preceding it, this is a slot that celebrates many of the myths and legends of ancient Greece from the Golden Era.
Of course, the ancient Greeks knew how to spin a yarn or two and you will find many of the characters and heroes, not to mention a few villains, springing up across the reels of this 20-payline, 5x3 reel slot.
The Titans were immortals that possessed either great strength or other supreme powers and while not all the symbols across the slots are truly Titans, there are enough to keep you sticklers for tradition happy.
What is important to note here is that Stash of the Titans, as the name suggests, is not a slot that is big on accurate representation. Its cartoon style graphics are bright, cheerful and colourful and Microgaming have taken a little poetic license in developing characters for this slot.
Medusa for example, is described as being a hideously ugly woman with a head of snakes whose gaze could turn any man to stone. However, in the Stash of the Titans slot, Medusa is a rather shapely, buxom and attractive lady, if you can get past the fact that she has a slithering mass of snakes for hair.
This gentle theme is repeated throughout the slots with heroes and fiends alike given a cartoon makeover and the net result is a rather pleasing on the eye slot.
There are no low symbols across the reels here. All symbols pertain to Greek mythology and there are some fearsome characters on show including a Satyr, a sword-wielding Minotaur, Cerberus the three-headed dog of Hades, a Centaur and the Hydra.
That's not all though as other features include Pegasus the winged horse, Medusa, a treasure chest filled to the brim with gold and jewels and an unmistakably Greek building, modelled possibly on the Acropolis.
Playing on the game from a mobile is enjoyable. The graphics are bright and the game works very well. If there is one complaint, it is that perhaps you don't trigger the free spins features often enough and that can make playing the base game a little tiresome from time to time.
However, the promise of a 200,000 coin jackpot (if you elect to make the maximum bet of 40 coins) does sharpen a players focus and there are other features in the game that are a tad easier to trigger and enjoy.
The first of these is the in game wild which is the Stash of the Titans logo. In the game, this Wild substitutes for any other symbol bar Medusa and the more of these you can land across the reels in a single spin, the greater chance you have of hitting multiple winning paylines of higher value.
The rather curvaceous Medusa symbol is the key to the games other two bonus features. Land her twice on the reels and she rewards you with a random bonus of between 2x and 50x your original wager.
However, it is when you land Medusa three, four or five times across the reels that the game kicks up a notch as you enter the free spins round. Here you receive 15 free spins and all your wins in this round are subject to a healthy 4x multiplier, however this news is tempered somewhat by the fact that the free spins cannot be re-triggered from within the bonus game.
Stash of the Titans is a fantastic game that works perfectly across a wide range of different mobile phones, smartphones and tablets, it has a very tempting jackpot on offer and is affordable enough to play for all slot players. It would be nice to hit the free spins more often, but that shouldn't detract from a game that may become an important part of slot mythology.
