Presentation
I have to say that I love the presentation of the Lucha Libre 2 slot. The colors used are bright and cheerful and accurately reflect both the Mexican culture and the showmanship you find in professional wrestling. The backdrop of the reels is a wrestling ring with a chicken perched on one of the corner posts just for good measure.
The reels dominate the center of the screen and it is a 5x3 reel set up and all the main controls are located under the reels including the line bet and line selector options, plus the main spin button and the auto play feature.
One final thing to note about the presentation is the outstanding musical accompaniment as you play along with the game. This was a feature on the original slot and I am delighted to see that it has been retained in the sequel. The music has a Mexican mariachi feel but is fused with other elements and the overall effect is superb and makes a fitting accompaniment to what happens on the reels as you spin them.
What's on the reels?
When it comes to the symbols, I am delighted to see that Realtime Gaming have done away with the annoying playing card low symbols and that every symbol on the slot is linked to the Mexican and/or wrestling theme. There are four lower value symbols, and these are the four Mexican cuisine items. They are the chili, the nacho, the tequila and lime and the tabasco sauce. These offer wins starting at 3 coins and going up to 75 coins for five across a line.
There are three medium value symbols too and these are the wrestling flyer, the posters and the young wrestling fan. These offer pays from 8 coins up to 200 coins for three to five on a winning line.

Wild features
There are a couple of different wild symbols and these are the different wrestlers that are on the reels, Nacho Friend and Taco Malo. These symbols are grouped on the third reel during the base game and they can replace for all symbols on the reels, apart from the scatter symbols.
When you get a full stack of wrestlers fully covering the third reel, they will either offer a multiplier on any wins you have achieved using a Wild, or they will jump onto at least one additional reel, turning that reel Wild too until you are ensured of a win. All wins with a Wild can be multiplied either by 2x, 3x or 10x the stated amount.
Free Spins features
To land the Free Spins feature in the Lucha Libre 2 slot you need to land three or more of the Mucho Mayhem scatter symbols anywhere across the reels. These also offer a pay out of between 2x and 250x your bet and they also award you a chance to play the Time to Rumble feature.
In this feature you will see two wrestlers on the screen and you must pick from three different fighting moves in order to try and defeat your opponent. Pick one that defeats your opponent and you will win a slightly better prize. Pick one that sees your wrestler lose and you win a slightly lower value prize.
The three moves to pick from are the El Loco Low Blow, El Slappa De Papa and the Supremo Falcon Hail. Each of these moves has a risk factor involved but the higher the risk of the move you select the greater the value of the prize you could potentially win.
In a clever move, the prize you receive for losing the bout decreases in value with the more risk you take, so there is a real jeopardy element to the slot as if you pick a high risk move and fail, then you won't receive as good a bonus if you picked the least risky or fairly risky options and lost.
During Free Spins firsts are added to the first two reels and if you land them on the first two reels in free spins with a wrestler wild on the third reel, you get a First of Fury Spin which can lead to some great value wins.
Other bonus features
The Fist of Fury feature is the main bonus and we have explained how it can be triggered during the free spins bonus above. If you receive any Firsts of Fury spins as part of your free spins bonus then you will play these spins at the beginning of the free spins bonus round. However if you randomly trigger Fist of Fury spins in your free spins game, then these are played at the end of free spins.

Best feature of the Lucha Libre 2 slot
Picking just one feature from the Lucha Libre 2 slot as your favorite is very tough to do as the game is packed with some cracking features but for me the Free Spins bonus games you can access in the Time to Rumble feature are superb. By selecting from the different options, you get to try and improve your free spins value, at the risk of landing a lesser bonus, but at least you have that option and the good news is that often, your wrestlers move will succeed and you'll get the better of the two options available to you. What does the Lucha Libre 2 slot lack?
The only thing I would have added to the Lucha Libre 2 slot would have been the bonus from the first game in the series where if you landed wrestlers in the four corner positions of the slots you triggered a bonus. That would have been a nice echo of the original slot and I think would have improved the base game a little.
Conclusion
Lucha Libre 2 is one of the best Realtime Gaming slots I have played for a while. I did enjoy the original and its unusual features and design and Realtime Gaming have taken that game, given it a twist and produced another fantastic slot that is packed with some innovative and unusual features. The two main bonuses. Time to Rumble and Fists of Fury can pay out some very decent amounts of money but they can be difficult to trigger at times which makes this a more medium to higher variance slot in my view.
